The Xinjiang Cross-Border Logistics Park serves a highly complex Eurasian traffic environment involving vehicles from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Russia, Georgia, and China.
Unlike a conventional logistics facility that mainly handles domestic vehicles, the project needed to manage multiple license plate formats, different vehicle access conditions, temporary or unlicensed vehicles, and pedestrian entry within one operational environment.
The diversity of vehicle origins and access methods created greater demands on recognition flexibility, access verification, and coordination between vehicle lanes and pedestrian entrances.
To support more organized cross-border operations, EBO-TECH deployed an intelligent access control solution combining multi-national license plate recognition, QR-code access, barrier control, and pedestrian turnstile coordination.

Project Challenges
Multiple National License Plate Formats
Vehicles entering the logistics park came from several countries across Eurasia. The differences in license plate layouts, character formats, languages, and visual characteristics made the project more complex than a standard single-country LPR deployment.
A conventional recognition configuration designed for one national plate standard could not adequately support the mixed international traffic handled by the facility.
Temporary and Unlicensed Vehicle Access
Not every vehicle entering the site could be managed through automatic license plate recognition.
Temporary vehicles, special vehicles, and vehicles without recognizable license plates still required a controlled and traceable access method. The project therefore needed an alternative workflow that could operate alongside the LPR system.
Vehicle and Pedestrian Access Coordination
The facility needed to manage not only vehicle traffic but also staff, visitors, and other personnel entering through pedestrian access points.
If vehicle lanes and pedestrian entrances were operated as separate systems, it would be more difficult for the operator to maintain a consistent access management process across the site.
Complex Cross-Border Operations
Cross-border logistics parks frequently manage a combination of trucks, passenger vehicles, temporary vehicles, drivers, visitors, and on-site staff.
The project required a flexible access framework capable of handling different identities and access methods while improving operational visibility and site control.

EBO-TECH delivered an integrated vehicle and pedestrian access management solution tailored to the park’s multi-country operating environment.
Multi-National License Plate Recognition
The system applies a multi-country license plate recognition engine to identify vehicles from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Russia, Georgia, and China.
This provides a more flexible recognition foundation for mixed international traffic and reduces dependence on a single national license plate format.
Vehicle recognition results can be linked to the corresponding access workflow, helping operators manage international vehicle entry and exit more consistently.
QR-Code Access for Temporary or Unlicensed Vehicles
For temporary vehicles or vehicles that cannot be processed through standard LPR, the solution provides QR-code-based access.
This alternative workflow allows the site to maintain controlled entry without forcing every vehicle into the same recognition process.
By combining LPR and QR-code access, the system can support both regular international vehicles and exceptional access scenarios within one operational framework.
Automated Barrier Control
Vehicle recognition or QR-code verification is connected with barrier control at the access lanes.
Once the configured access conditions are verified, the barrier can release the vehicle according to the project workflow. This helps reduce unnecessary manual checking while maintaining controlled vehicle access.
Coordinated Pedestrian Turnstiles
The project also integrates pedestrian turnstiles into the overall access management framework.
Vehicle lanes and pedestrian entrances can therefore operate as connected parts of the same site access environment, supporting more consistent management of vehicles, drivers, staff, and visitors.
Unified Access Management
The solution brings together vehicle recognition, temporary vehicle access, barrier control, and pedestrian access coordination.
Instead of managing each access method separately, operators can handle different vehicle and personnel scenarios through a more unified operational structure.
Project Results
The deployed solution established a more flexible access management framework for the logistics park’s complex international traffic environment.
The multi-national LPR engine enabled the facility to manage vehicles from multiple Eurasian countries within one recognition system, while QR-code access provided an alternative for temporary or unlicensed vehicles.
